The Cranbrook Business Association (CBA) has transformed into the Weald Business Association (WBA) and will develop as an organisation with teeth to really help its members. We are re-launching to represent all member businesses and organisations in postcodes TN17 and TN18. There are over 700 businesses and organisations in these locations. All of whom will gain from being part of a larger voice both in terms of sales development, business advice and networking
So why should your business or organisation join the WBA?
- There is strength in numbers. Our voices will be louder for all to hear
- Forming and maintaining a strong business association allows us to concentrate on keeping the qualities unique to our area, or make changes that will benefit everyone
- We help become a better area for business and create development projects or solve problems too
- We will attract the attention of our local government, making an impact as we grow
- You will gain access to quality networking with your fellow members

Government will give you £2500
There is currently an 'offer' from the government for companies taking on apprentices. They will pay £2500 cash grant for you to take on an apprentice, until end MARCH 2010. If you want to know more, please call KATO (Kent Association of Training. Organisations) who organise apprenticeships in Kent on 08458 247 247 or look them up on www.kentapprenticeships.com.
An apprenticeship now lasts for 1 year, and you do not have to pay the minimum wage - they recommend £95 per week minimum. You can do an apprenticeship in almost anything - from office work to Woodland.
