How the Weald Business Association can help your business - 16th March

A presentation and a "meet the members" of the WBA will be held on Tuesday 16th March at 6pm. Denis East of DG East Parnership has kindly booked the hall at Angley School and all we need to do now is spread the word to as many businesses as we can.  See Chairman's Page for details

Government will give you £2500

There is currently an 'offer' from the government for companies taking on apprentices. They will pay £2500 cash grant for you to take on an apprentice, until end MARCH 2010. If you want to know more, please call KATO (Kent Association of Training. Organisations) who organise apprenticeships in Kent on 08458 247 247 or look them up on www.kentapprenticeships.com.

An apprenticeship now lasts for 1 year, and you do not have to pay the minimum wage - they recommend £95 per week minimum. You can do an apprenticeship in almost anything - from office work to Woodland.
